WordPress Version 2.0 “Duke”

The new “Duke” edition of WordPress 2.0 is officially out. The download can be reached from the WP home page for those interested in the latest and greatest from Matt and gang. I just upgraded the software here at ‘The Average Man’ in about 20 minutes and that included backing up the entire website and database.

One of the great things that the new version does is to simplify importing of older blog entries from Blogger and Moveable Type among others. This is great news for me and the readers of the old ‘Extremist’ blog. I have moved the old files from Blogger into the current web site. What this means now is that the older posts from 2004 can be read in WP and accessed from the Archives. The posts from April 2004 are especially good and in them I discuss our trip to Japan. I escpecially like these posts about this Japan trip. Enjoy and let me know if you like these.
